The PVH and MCR Foundation, which philanthropically supports and promotes University of Colorado Health programs in northern Colorado, has set the date for their annual gala. The PVH and MCR Foundation 35th Annual Spring Benefit will take place on May 10, 2014, with long-time partner First National Bank as the presenting sponsor. As a testament to their commitment to the foundation, First National Bank has committed to sponsoring the spring benefit in 2014 through 2017, bringing their total donation over those four years to $145,000. The check was presented to the PVH and MCR Foundation on Jan. 7.
“Both the foundation and the bank are committed to the community we call home, and we have forged a strong partnership with each other over the years,” said President of First National Bank, Mark Driscoll. “First National believes in and supports the beneficiaries of the event and our charitable giving aligns well with the mission of the hospital foundation.”
The PVH and MCR Foundation 35th Annual Spring Benefit will coincide with the cancer center’s unveiling of the second of three phases currently under construction. The benefit will be hosted under tents on the Harmony Campus parking lot to allow attendees the privilege of being one of the first to get a tour of the cancer center in progress. Guests also will experience amenities that will be found in the phase three Survivorship and Wellness Center, such as complimentary massage and healthy cooking demonstrations under the tents.
First National Bank will also be recognized with the honor of naming the Financial Counseling Suite in the cancer center. “First National Bank has been a long time partner of the foundation’s and a sponsor of the spring benefit since its inception over three decades ago,” said Senior Director of the PVH and MCR Foundation, Erica Siemers. “We are pleased to give First National Bank this acknowledgement and include them in the vision for the cancer center.”
The event’s construction theme and tagline “You built it…Let’s finish it” recognizes the collective effort made by First National Bank and thousands of other supporters in the community that have helped make the cancer center a reality with their generous donations and ongoing championing of the project.
